  About the Department

The department was established in the year 2008 and currently offers B.Tech programme in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, M.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering and PhD program.

The impact of electronics and instrumentation engineering touches almost every area of today’s life. This department with its state-of-the-art laboratories and young and dynamic faculty members is involved in providing quality education and promoting innovative research. The lab facilities include Sensors & Transducers, Analog & Digital Circuits, Measurement, Control & Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Biomedical, Communication, Microprocessor, and Design & Fabrication Labs. Facilities are available for interdisciplinary research activities in the broad domain of signal processing, biomedical engineering, instrumentation, sensors, embedded systems, robotics, control & automation, Communication, and micro/nanoelectronics. High-end Lab facilities have been established with funding from external agencies.

The curriculum is updated regularly in tune with advancements in technology and its applications. Knowledge and skills of faculties, students, and scholars are regularly updated through well-planned and executed development programs. They publish their works in reputed journals and also review and contribute content for technical journals and books.

In the midst of imparting theoretical and practical subject knowledge department targets the holistic development of students – intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and physically. Students are encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular activities in the institute and elsewhere. Trained in a broad-based discipline that has relevance across various industries, our graduates are well-positioned to solve crucial engineering issues and improve the living conditions of the modern world – making things more efficient, optimal, sustainable, and affordable.
